How do they get it like that? It actually looks to me like they took a baseball bat to it.

The distressed look comes from the creasing of the waxy texture that is on the surface of the leather. As soon as you start to bend or fold the leather, an extreme pull-up effect (like what happens with CXL) starts to show. Aero doesn't do anything to achieve this effect--it simply comes from making the jacket!
