Time Machine question...

In a post elsewhere there is a discussion about Time Machines and time travel. I was always intriqued by the final scenes in "The Time Machine" with Rod Taylor and Alan Young. Filby acknowledges that George has "all the time in the world.", and then asks the question, "What three books would YOU have taken?"
I've pondered that question for decades and the titles I have come up with have changed over the years. Let me ask it of you now; knowing what you do about the world now, "What three books would you have taken?" - ...INTO THE FUTURE AS GEORGE DID!

My choice today;

1. The Wealth of Nations - Adam Smith
2. The Science of Mind - Ernest Holmes
3. Webster New Collegiate Dictionary

What be your choices? You've all the time in the world!.....

Well, if it means taking books in the time .machine I would make sure that I took three of the very best history books I could find so that I could map my way through that dimension...kinda like a street directory

Who needs books when you have a time machine? Fall of the Roman Empire, discovery of the source of the Nile, Mark Twain doing the lecture circuit. I am there!! :)

H.G. Wells 'Time Machine' !

Also some books on ancient languages. Like, "Pimsleur's Ancient Egyptian" or ""Han Dynasty Chinese for Beginners". ;)

Do I get to pick my destination with this model time machine, or is it one of those awful, unpredictable contraptions that just deposits the hapless time traveller anywhere?

Here is your time machine. Now go into the Future! ....and don't forget your books!

I must say, I'm with Feraud on this one, why bring books, I'd rather experience the events and write down the events for myself.
I guess that would mean I'd bring 3 blank Moleskine notebooks.
