Documentary strand First Cut presents Sally Hewitt's directorial debut film as she meets four women who are desperate to be old-fashioned housewives. Joanne, Debbie, Diane and Sammi all hanker after life in a different era. And it's not just about vintage clothes and decor. They have vintage values to match. With growing numbers of people in the UK choosing to adopt a 1950s-style way of life, is it just a retro-fashion trend or could it be a vision of the future?

Thanks for posting about this Paddy. I love this title, "Time Warp Wives". Wow, this sounds fantastic. Wish they had that programme out here to get to see it. Joanne was in your Whitby photos as the girl singer, right? She's so pretty and looks very vintage!

Adopting a vintage old-fashioned lifestyle seems so terrific- sigh. I only wish one could do that and get away with it- hm.. But then, maybe to a certain degree I could. Why not? I would want to do it as the 1940s Golden Era/WWII era period, definitely not the 1950s though...
