    Zombie_61 I'll Lock Up

I know I've been through New Lenox at least once, because almost every time my wife and I have visited the Chicago area for a wedding/funeral/vacation/whatever over the last 10-15 years we stayed at the Sleep Inn in Tinley Park near the intersection of Harlem Ave. and I-80 (it's conveniently located for us). Trouble is, my wife has no sense of direction so I do all of the driving whenever we go anywhere, and that leaves little opportunity for me to do any sightseeing until we stop.

  13. Rescue, Missouri is a wide spot on the road on Route 66, now MO 96 18 miles east of Carthage that supposedly got is name when locals helped a wagon that had broken down. This section is now known as the "Ghost Stretch" for its numerous roadside ruins. The cabins of the Shady Side Camp are still there and part of Reed's Cabin Courts still stand. (Western Lawrence County) -- Missouri's Historic Highways.
