Vintage 1950s Tweed Suit
Great large sized 1950s Tweed suit I just got from fellow Lounger Thunder. The trousers do not look good on me so I am selling it. Would work well for 44R.

The suit is made from heavy weight tweed material. The fabric pattern is tiny black and green checks with red specks sprinkled throughout. It is a very good quality fabric that looks black at a distance and dark green closer up.
The jacket has three buttons in the front with three patch pockets and a short vent in back. It is half lined and all buttons are present.
The trousers are flat-front and are cuffed. They have belt loops but no suspender buttons. An interesting characteristic are the two sections of grosgrain on the front of the waistband. No idea what they're for but it's a neat touch.
Kingsridge was a quality suit maker back in the day and this suit supports that fact.
I find no flaws with this suit.

Harris Tweed, Brown/white herringbone pattern. 2 button, high armholes, typical British shoulders and waist supression, no makers label other than “Made in Britain”.

1960s narrow lapels, 3 button, dark blue with light blue window pane pattern, shallow rear vent, wool, great shape. Probably an orphaned suit jacket, but I think it makes a nice sportcoat.
