Picked up a pair of clinch engineers from @Daniel San some weeks ago. They originally belonged to @Sagar85 and I had actually inquired about them when he listed them as well.
I really wanted the dark brown clinch engineers but I have not seen one up for sale and these were the closest thing. I suddenly had an idea to bring these to a reputable bootmaker either nearby or within the states. Unsung has always been very responsive to me so I thought heck let’s give it a shot. I was quoted a 1.5-2 week turnaround time since it falls within their small jobs. I gotta say I am pleased with the results.
I know this is a rather simple job for an experienced bootmaker but I’m just thinking back to all the times I passed up on great deals for second hand boots simply because of the color. They were able to do the uppers for me and the edges. I think part of me just thought the overdye process must be done before stitching the panels together.
Anyhow, still debating if I can live with the instep being a bit high for me. Fixable with pads but I could also just get a pair that fits me perfect out the box .
