US Foreign Service

Well, I figure here's as good a place as any to ask if any of you lovely folks have had any experience with the US Foreign Service; particularly if any of you have taken the Foreign Service Officer Exam.

I'm extremely anxious about the historical political/economic questions. If anyone can suggest nice text-book type resources that might help me brush up on this stuff, I'd really appreciate it. If any of you have taken the exam, or served in the Foreign Service, I'd love to hear from you even more! Please comment below or send me a PM.

I have a couple of friends who have taken and passed the FSO exam within the past couple of years. I will check with them and let you know what their suggestions are beyound the primary study guide. I do remember them saying that the day long oral assessment was the hardest part. May take a week to get ahold of them, but I will let you know what they say.
