USAF L-2 Flight jacket -New Member with question?

Hi all, I am glad I found you.

I had a question that I hope someone may be able to answer, I have done some research but nothing conclusive.

I have been looking at reproduction USAF L-2 flight jackets, the first generation. I am wondering if the first generation had the USAF patch on the left shoulder sleeve.

Looking at a couple of options. Buzz Rickson has the patch, Real Mccoys does not. I wonder what is more accurate.

May be Superdenim ordered its without the stencil but RM does have stencil on the sleeve.

Thank you, yes I saw that, looked like they have an option for no patch. I assume all issued jackets would have the patch.

My Toys McCoy repro of the Albert Turner L-2 has a white stencil though.

I have a Buzz B-15B test sample repro also has white stencil. Am not sure but may be because test sample does not have the full coloured stencil.
