Vintage Depp

Looks to be Depp in vintage. I say that because I rarely see the wider bound edge on modern hats... and the crown is higher than almost all modern dress hat makers go.

at least we know ONE of the deep-pocket boys drivin' up the prices on eBay, don't we? I'm convinced that Tom Hanks is the guy who is paying literally ANYTHING (meaning $500 or more) for WWII squadron patches...

I like the way Depp where's his hat. I don't think he's "Mangling", I think it is adding a lot of style!

I didn't know he collected squadron patches.. He does have the worlds largest collection of typewriters though...

The man has worn many hats. Last year, at a tsunami aid benefit, he looked so cool in a black newsboy cap, I was inspired to get one, myself. I recently bought the black wool cap from B!Wear caps!

Probably not vintage, I don't know caps well enough to recognize vintage from a newbie, but I was inspired to get a black cap.

it is certainly styled like the old 30's newsboy caps.

That is one good looking fedora. Could be custom, but it's impossible to tell. If it's vintage it could be a Stetson Whippet or a fantastic Borsalino. It's hard to pinpoint the actual color as to whether it's a light gray or a silver belly.
Actually I kinda like the way he wears it tilted. Besides, that's what fedora's are all about, a little bit of individuality.

I believe Art Fawcett has the ability to make one just like it if anyone wants one.

I love Depp. He probably my favorite actor and I love him more for his style. He is keeping the fedora alive in Hollywood without it being enormous and going with a pimp stick. I love his hats, even though he does mangle them up pretty badly. :clap
