Super. The Rike's Men's store is from Dayton. Any Idea the date?

Rike's Dayton @Frunobulax
@BobHufford per your request. This is the only Resistol Lounger ad I was able to find. Must be a pretty rare hat.
Feb 12, 1942
Thanks Dave! I don't know about rare, but I only have the one.
Mine might be a bit later after the "New" wore off of the "New Lounger" (and the price went up).
Very cool, Dave, thank you. I used to work there n the late 70s. In fact, I got my wife at Rike's.
Now if only I could find that receipt...
A Maclachlan 100 was a pretty penny in 1950, imagine a $695 overcoat in 1950!!
Resistol Italia early 1950s
Thanks BIG time for posting all these ads. What a peek into the past. I had never thought of beaver or rabbit or other content of the felts back then. The single ad with any mention of beaver is the MacLachlan ad for the 100 on sale for $50. The factory men's dress hats in the last few years aren't big on any mention of felt other than "fur felt" except for the 100% beaver ones Stetson made in the Matt Deckard era.
