Vintage Lacoste?

Does anyone have knowledge about Lacoste labels?

I picked this cardigan up from a charity shop and don’t know what to make of it. The crocodile logo on the breast seems ok but not sure about the tags. I had concerns when I saw that it was made in Spain but apparently some of Lacoste’s older stuff was made there. There is also a little label with an ‘E’ symbol on the back of the right breast - not sure what this means either.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if this means anything, but Lacoste is named after the Frenchman René Lacoste and sponsors Roland Garros French Open. Sponsors tennis players from all over Europe, too. A few Spaniards and a few Frenchmen, as well as from Serbia, Croatia, Russia, Uruguay, and the USA. It's also involved in the golf world. The sweater seems legit to me, if that's what you're asking. "E" possibly for the European market?

Hi Ernest - yes I am quite familiar with Lacoste as a brand, I used to wear a lot of it when I was in my teens, in the late 90’s early 00’s. I’m not too familiar with their older stuff, hence the question about these particular tags. I’m happy that it seems to be legit.
