    To me it's a light brown or tan. Some might call it taupe.

    Me too! If it was flawless and a bigger brim (most Whippets I've seen are 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 brims) it might fetch those crazy prices. I think the 2 1/2 brim hurts it's value. Of course I also have a near flawless Whippet with a bigger brim that may go after this one!

    and to think I had a pair of Whippets in 3/8LO...traded them for some beans...(not really beans,
    but did trade the pair for something pretty cool) can't swallow the price on the Bay last week, proves
    money is no object for some folks;

    ;) If I had a time machine I'd go back and by dozens of these, different colors and all 7 1/2 and 7 5/8's!

    If past is prologue there might be a couple of bids over the next few days but 15 in the last nano-second!

    I'd just go back to 2003 when we were a small forum, and buy these up at $20.

  11. I'm seeing this with links from other members as well. Is it a forum thing?

    Weird, I click on it and it goes right there. I was careful to sign out first before copying the link so as not to get you guys hung up in my personal ebay stuff

    Hmmm...takes me right to the listing, both on my laptop and on my phone.

    Yes, I do not know what is going on. BOTH of my laptops AND my Tablet take me to the VigLink shopping.... As part of the puzzle, I am using Firefox on all three devices. MAY have something to do with it. I know looking at the link id does NOT look like the page I get when I look at your listings ( I had to do a E-Bay search to find them)....
    It is here:

    The link takes me right to the ebay listing, too. I see my bid has been demolished, ha!

    WELL......WELL.............I clicked on my own link....AND......it brought me to the VigLink Shopping thing.......I copied and e-mailed the link to myself.....and it worked just fine...............Must be something with the lounge.....and certain browsers.....though I have not ever had this issue before.......:eek:o_O:confused:

    PS My laptops use Firefox BUT my tablet uses Google Chrome.....so...two different browsers....

  17. I'm using I/E 11 on my work laptop. Safari on my phone has no issue.

    I feel sorry for you and happy for me! I'm still not out of the red on this one so I hope it goes higher. It sells no matter what!

    I'd crow about my ability to value vintage hats but I took a bath on the Stetson Derby I was selling!
