I just uploaded almost 60 photos to Webshots.com from a 2004 trip to Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The rock formations there are beautiful and impressive. There were some climbers here and there on the rocks, so I got a few climber pictures from a distance.

Feell free to check them out and tell me what you think. Some of them would make great computer desktop photos. They are found right here.:cheers1:

incredible

We certainly don't have anything like that in my neck of the woods. Inspires me to want to visit out west someday.

Thanks!

Great pictures, looks for some reason more like Arizona or Utah. I guess I expected more snow and pine trees in Colorado. Seems like a great place for beginner climbers......Jake

Jake, you're right that people visualize Colorado as mountains more than this type of terrain. However, the eastern 1/3 of the state is great plains - until you hit the foothills. Then it all changes immediately.

These formations are near Colorado Springs, which is a very attractive area. They're west of the town, and right up against the foothills of the Rockies - in fact, I guess they are part of them.

That said, they are indeed unusual formations and noteworthy.
