Half down and up a width from brannock has worked well for me with this last unless you have very wide / swing in your feet.
See, I tried that! didn't work. and my redwing 2990s in 11d are great, no heel slip. Wesco I have tried 11E, 10.5E, 11D in two leathers just because maybe...softness? and 11D fits the best but still less secure than my redwings. The last may not fit my foot well or maybe I need a C width who knows...

Interesting. Are you sizing off your HTT measurement or HTB? Whichever one is larger etc. As long as your foot lines up with the widest part of the boot it should be fine, but as you know some lasts are not for everyone's foot.

I have seen some people take these boots in the mp toe TTS as well & they were pleased with the fitment. Maybe worth trying out some thicker full weight / full cushion darn tough socks & taking out the supplied insole & using a thinner one like a pedag royal for instance.

100% going to try these with some darn tough full cushion. It may also just be my tolerance level for pull in boots/flexibility/heel movement that to me seems off but to someone else may be perfectly fine.

I think if you can get past the "initial discomfort" and start the break-in you may very well like these. give them a try, golly it's 12-18 months to even get another pair made to your size now.
