wet milan

the other day i was caught in a rainstorm wearing my Optimo milan straw. it is dried out now ( i jsut let it air dry on the counter). however, the front pinch seams a little soft. it is not as stiff as it was before. everything else is fine, even the snap brim. can anyone offer any suggestions as to go about making the front pinch harder?

I plan to stop by a local western store today and pick me up some straw hat stiffner. I have a few places on my Peters Bros. Indy straw that I would like to stiffen up.
Hat stiffner is what I would suggest, I have also read that the felt hat stiffner would work, I would think the felt stiffner would be better than using hairspray.

I tried hairspray. It helped the crown but did nothing for the brim. And it smelled. For weeks.
