So.... finally "La Vie en Rose" came to my cable channel (I don't go to the movies anymore) and I was pleasantly surprised to hear for the first time this song by Edith Piaf... its called Rien de Rien (not to be confused with Je ne Regrette Rien) verrrrrrrry nice very happy and upbeat, so different to all the sombre songs of Edith, and I loved it!:D

Last night I was up in Walthamstow at the Spinadisc night, run by the lovely Auntie Maureen. Maureen brings the DJ set up, and plays whatever music the punter care to bring. Last night selection included, courtesy of the Marlowe collection, Sex Pistols (Pretty Vacant), Chuck Berry (Carol, if memory serves), and Marlene Dietrich wit the Burt Bacharach Orchestra (Lola, in German). I also had some Sinatra, Link Wray, and Stiff Little Fingers, had there been but time. Today in the office I've been listening to these little gems on Youtube:

Well, I heard a song from my early to mid teen years and got nostalgic. So, I've been listening early '80's.

The song that started it.
