Today it was my Biltmore Porkpie Milan, in Pumice Gray colour (modern, non vintage). You can see a more detailed image in the "Show your porkpies" thread.

BTW, this is my first photo here with me under a lid... ;)

My partenaire is my daughter Laura - she is enthusiastic about this hat, it is her favourite, and the one she selects for me if given the choice. She calls it, not inappropriately, "the blue hat".

Regards,

Daniel

I agree with Laura (she's adorable!)

Thanks for the compliments. Yes she is... most of the time at least ;) And she's a natural for photographs, unlike myself!

The hat looks great with your choice of shirt as well. It looks like you're both having fun!

Yes, I find porkpies provide a casual look that makes them very adequate for bowling or hawaiian shirts, polos, untucked shirts and the like.

Regards to all - and Laura says thanks too!

Bolt, you should wear more of the wider brim hats. That Panama looks like it was made just for you, which I guess it was. Nice look to it.

That sunofagun can make any hat work it seems, but yeah, the SeaSpray is more like what a lot of us think of when waxing nostalgic about the '40s.

Alucard; That's a great one. Reminds me of a Lee I have with real velvety hand to it.

You're all too kind. :D

Russ, the Brim width on the Sea Spray is 2 1/4". ;)

Very nice, Alucard. How long did you wait for your work of Art? Man, that crown is to die for.

Would you be willing to show us some side shots of that beauty on your noggin?

Bobc, it only took a little over a month from the time Art got the conformer back. It was done very quickly. I will try and take more side shots as soon as I get the camera back from my wife.

Hats

How come I can never seem to look as cool as you guys do in a fedora? Where is everyone from? I am in Baltimore, and not many hatters here in my region. Most of my hat sales come form the west coast as well. Is it more about the region im in or is it just me. DO i need to start a trend or will I look like a fish out of water? Is there a certain style of hat that would look better for my body/facial type tall thin or is it anything goes?

I carry Bailey hats and Dorfman Pacific in my store if you would like to see my site then PM i dont want to be a spammer. for that reason i am excluding my signature tag as well.

Thanks all this is my first time posting.

The two felt hats I brought with to college, my 7x clear beaver stetson, and a borsalino roller. I wore the stetson today. It's drying out.

To the devil with people opinions, wear what turns you on. Cool is a state of mind. If you like yourself then you can look cool in jammies with feet in them and a paper hat. Its the energy you project.

Bailey hats and Dorfman Pacific make nice looking hats. Its all in what you want.
MOST modern factory hats do not have the brim nor the crown alot of us like.
That is why custom or vintage is our option.
The one thing you have to do is fine you a hat YOU like ... then just wear it.
You may change the style after awhile but you will fine the STYLE you like.

GOOD LUCK !!!
