This afternoon I switched to my Gannon Natural. This has a bit taller crown at 6" and wider brim at 3".

Both are stunners Bill. that frayed ribbon on the Gannon is really cool.

You can just see and feel the thin felt from well....2000 miles!!
Like to see the liner and tags sometime. Do not chance wrecking the sweatband or stitching though!!

Here you go. I cleaned the hat with white gas, so I put honey leather conditioner on the sweat twice. The Pecard vintage leather conditioner should arrive to my brother in law's soon, but I don't know when he's coming over yet.

Excellent hat, Jeff, but I'd never put it that close to food...

Believe me, I was very careful! But the felt on this one seems precisely as refined as beaver brand just before they went under. Pretty sure it was from that same stock actually. In other words— beautiful, perhaps, but just not even close to the quality of most around here.

I chose a brown vtg.Stetson Open Road this morning to head out for a dog walk and then to fill the bird feeders. The bird feeder perches have been filled with passerines are buy feeding before their migrations. I saw dozens of broad tail hawks flying. They too are on their Fall migration south following the passerines.

What a beautiful OR! That color is gorgeous. It's not easy finding vintage ORs in colors other than Siverbelly. That's the best one I have seen!
