Yes it is. 50's I'd say. That's what some of us meant in the other thread. You can't, unfortunately just can't get a modern Borsalino like this.

True. I honestly think the rolling was a one time only thing, according to the little instruction sheet that came with my other one (posted here in the rollup thread, I think) Once out of the triangular box, that was it.

Those kinds of hats are out there, there are one or two rollable Borsos on eBay at the moment.

You just have to be patient and be prepared to pay because good ones are not going to be cheap. I was looking for one for about 6 months.

Michael, that's why I'm considering the new Alessandria since it looks much like that one---OR style with the thin ribbon. I've looked a hundred times on Ebay for one a vintage one in my size (7 3/8) and it's always "no cigar". Most of the vintage Alessandrias on Ebay have much wider ribbons.

Maybe I could get a new one to pacify me till I can land a vintage Borso.[huh]
