    I kinda like the way Stuart put it on his web page;

    Arising from a lost world where vacuous Attitude didn't rule, where Men still walked the earth, their purposefulness, expressed in functional detail and faultless craft, startles. They're heavy, demand respect, a little breaking-in to show who's boss. They express a truth, an honesty, not a fashion flavor choice for brain-dead clone masses which put on different egos according to the day of the week.

    I know Gibson and Barnes very well and have owned several over the years. They were always cut too large (e.g., size 42 with a 24.5 pit to pit) but you can offset that by wearing a size smaller. I generally find a 40T works well for me and I'm nominally a 42. Not sure if the patterns or materials are still the same now they are made in Mexico. Of course the Expo has been deleted from their range.

    I still wear the one I bought in 2002 and it has outlasted Aero's, Johnson Leathers and other fine jackets I have had made for me. The goat they use is fantastic stuff but it is chrome tanned and some folk here would find it boring. I had a size 42 Raider G2 goatskin flight jacket which was superb. Why the hell did I sell it? I think the pit to pit on that was close to 25 inches and too bloody big.

    Srtating to getstupid-hot here in London again - it's 13celsius today. I might end up wearing a denim jacket for the first time in well over a decade as my lighter Winter jackets are now a bit much.

    Not sure what you changed to your settings, but that out of focus rendering is very nice.
    Your best pic of that jacket yet!

    My goodness ( sorry Strewth !) it is a COOL change here when it drops suddenly from 36C to 26 !

    I wore a leather jacket to work this morning as it was 12.9C at 6AM
    25C on the way home at 4PM so the jacket was carried to the car !

    Thanks, man. I have No idea what I'm doing so I just press the button. I'm guessing it's some kind of automatic choice depending on the available light.

    Well said. As for the Raider, definitely the most underrated jacket which I too miss. Wish I could go back in time.

    Premier HWM in unfinished, natural HH. Has tanned nicely during last year, but it still needs WAY more wear.
