What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

If I get up early in the morning there is a brief window when It is cold enough that I can pretend to justify wearing a leather jacket or coat, (not to mention a fur felt hat) on a tropical island. It was 65° F. this morning and i quickly donned my Monarch Horsehide long half belt or car coat, and Stetson Nutria Quality hat, both probably made before I was. It doesn't take long before I am back to shorts and a tank top.
I will probably go for a 1/2 mile ocean swim today even though it is cloudy, rainy and there is a cool breeze. The air temp is 75° F., ands the sea temp. its 79° F. With the breeze it is a bit chilly when you get out of the water and there is no sun. Beach leather jackets are going to be the next big thing.

awesome. I just got a 70's Lee 101j (at least I think that's what it is. No expert, but I know enough to know it's not a 60s or earlier). I fear this might lead to many, many jackets LOL.

It’s warmer in Chicago today so I didn’t need a shearling. Today I wore Patagonia’s take on the N-1 deck jacket. Definitely not a true-to-style jacket, but the fit is right and the lining comfortable.
