Wearing exactly what a dad should be wearing when taking two kids to a 5 year old's birthday party.

I failed to attach writing to this one somehow. Anyway, I posted my brown Aero the other day and thought it would make sense to follow up with its dark sibling. I was working today though and that involved walking in the rain, so truthfully I had on a pretty un-stylish raincoat on for the most part.

I almost bought a Ninja ZX4RR just a couple of weeks ago.

Bit of a contrast to my Bonneville.

Exactly! The ZX4rr looks like an amazing bike. I’ve had a 636 and it was too much bike for riding in the roads, and without the flickability of the little ninja. Seems like the 4rr could potentially tick both those boxes. Would love to try one out but they aren’t exactly sitting around in dealerships.

This is what I meant by the bomber epaulets.

If you zoom in the picture of him sitting with the director, you’ll see the epaulets are similar to the pic above. I’ve never seen a vintage Sears Dpocket having this epaulets configuration before. Or maybe I’m missing something. Schott did borrow a lot of ideas from the aviation industry back in the days though.

Yours is the later version towards the 60s when they transitioned to the Oakbrook label.

I’ve seen that bomber epaulets on the Sears map pocket though, but that jacket is built on an A2 chassis so that makes sense.

Turned out there WAS a Sears Dpocket with the bomber or A2 epaulets. Sold by @tmitchell59 a while ago. Pics and vid belong to Terry down below.

Looks pretty much similar to the new Schott 568 Bikeriders. A few speculations come to mind!

EDIT: Also with the Oakbrook label

AERO Highwayman? Nice jacket - cool fit!
It is indeed! Thank you. The brown one I posted earlier was from 2014. I haven’t got a date on this one but I suspect it’s earlier. Both are labelled 38 but this one is slightly roomier for me (42 inch chest relaxed)
