Fine creek 42. I'm not a big back seam fan but I think it would age in a pretty cool way

I usually give them a whipe down with a damp cloth. For some jackets like this j24 thats all what's needed. Sometimes the leather is clogged with conditioner and I therefore clean it using degreasing fluid. After that I use different products depending on the condition of the leather. When totally dried out I use Obenaufs LP or Saphir beeswax based clear shoe cream. When somewhat stiff but not totally dry I use Tenderly. When dull but not dry or stiff I use Urad.

Love it, Your jackets always pop. My jackets do not pop as much as yours. I must say the leather on your j24 is so different than my j24 size 46. But it is a perfect match for my first j24 I got back in 1979. I still have it. keeping it for the next generation.

Very poor photos here - it was over 90F and humid this afternoon, but just had to get a photo or two of the newly acquired straight zip Columbia that turns out is from Feburary 1990. Other than a bit of wear to the zipper pull (Scoville, quite stiff so added zipper lube to it) it would be difficult to tell from new. Still needs break in work. I need to dial in the side laces a bit, just little snug as it arrived. This one is a keeper.

Smile sir!! :)

And yes, I'm cool with shorts in this sort of weather.

Love that city. I almost stayed forever at a small city near Norway called Järpen. Things did not work out and broken hearted retuned to Cali.

Two really beautiful places. Passed by Järpen on my way to hiking in Åre. Very cosy.

Wow!

Even without the fringe, this would be a spectacular jacket. I suppose that´s the steer suede that I called "underwhelming" in a different thread. Shame on me! ;)

Yup, that's the hide ;) No shame at all. It works here, and it's great we have same and different tastes.
