Some bick4 on the high notch. Trying to get out in the limited jacket weather we have here.

Breaking in my new Freenote Cloth RJ-2 jacket. It's made of waxed 20oz canvas and lined with incredibly soft shearling. It is a stiff and heavy jacket. But, it's being keeping me warm in Chicago. The last few days it's been around 29°F (-2°C). I'm staying warm. Wish the jacket had storm cuffs and a metal chain to hang it.

I had been watching this jacket on the Freenote site for the past year. Finally came back in stock and I had it two days later.
Cool jacket. If I wanted storm cuffs, I'd ask my seamstress if she could fit them for me inconspicuously ;)

Thanks! Tan/mid brown is my favorite color range for jackets.

Thanks! It is indeed pony hide. Much lighter than the pony hide on my Seattle Woolen aviator
I definitely favor browns in this color range as well.
I don't mind the chocolate-ish brown of my Cooper A2 and I've gotten used to the very dark brown of my Taylor's Chicago PD , but caramel and tobacco tones definitely spark my eye the most.

This was a very popular combination; brown in a light Pony Hide. This was made for you in Southern California. I have a couple of CSC in this same color in Pony and Cape. They were masters of using combinations of pockets on the front design to make several jacket styles.

Yeah its perfect for my weather. I'd love to get more brown ponyhide jackets. I actually had one much like the one in your photo, but dark brown goatskin and with a different chest pocket. Sadly it was too big and @Marc mndt has it now. I want another as I don't currently have a CSC jacket. Even this Topline apparently isn't a CSC-made jacket.

Yeah I have a couple dark brown jackets and I love them, but overall tobacco/caramel/golden browns are what I love most.
