I absolutely love the Panther, I've contempted buying a goldtop patrol,,that's the closest I can get to old school belstaff quality. Do I need one,absolutely not,but still want one![]()
The Goldtop one is among the best of that style available as a production jacket these days, imo. It's a bonus it has the built in armour and CE certification too, if you're looking at it as a riding jacket.
Working on some more appropriate photos. Can’t do tough vintage guy anymore. Morally flexible 70’s guy Might work though.

Great jacket. I know a lot of people associate this style with the 70s, but of course it was reviving something much earlier at that point. Sort of thing I always associate with that US mail order catalogue "1950s Confident Dad" look - dressed to spend a colder afternoon in the outdoors, puffing pipe an optional extra. It's a look I'm a big fan of, myself.
(Is it just me, or is the guy on the left of the 70s catalogue page Mark Wahlberg as a time traveller?)
