What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Photo is old, but today I had the first real-life outing of the J-24 plus collar.

I struggled with the fit of the jacket, as the upper part is just so bulky. Especially the huge upper arms kind of threw me off balance.

Today was the day: too warm for a heavy piece (like the TMC “Johnny” jacket I wanted to wear initially), but cool enough to justify a sweatshirt. Did some extented shopping at the farmer’s market very early and after that a few stops at various food stores.
Result: jacket and me have bonded big time. Easy to wear, versatile. Now it’s mine.

Looks spectacular! Is that cognac Badalassi hide?

I missed out on commenting on your JL J-100. The Shinki on that looks absolutely amazing. How would you rate weight/temper in comparison to your other jackets?
The board racer is in badalassi russet it’s the reason I got the j100 I wore it one day and said man I need a black one I spoke with Jl and they were nice enough to let me use there shinki the leather I would say is mid weight so that excellent being that I have lots of heavy stuff the smell is incredible and it seems to mold to your body fairly quick I’ve only worn it twice and it began to do its thing

Yeah, mid-weight. That’s my impression on all of the Shinki-variants I have handled too. It looks pretty ******-proof, though. Both great jackets in their own right for sure!

Yeah it is a bit on the stiff side but it’s settled a bit in just to outings

Super nice Aero Type III! I have one each (Navy Vicenza, Natural Vicenza) and they are super nice jackets. The Navy one is near perfect in fit and the hides are super grainy. That one gets lots of complements. OTOH, the Natural one is almost as nice but a bit bigger (although same size (44)) and not quite as grainy. I have worn it when weather permits and have exposed it to the sun on extended occasions to help darken the hide.

Not sure which leather yours is but it is quite special looking. I checked the Aero site awhile back and the Natural Vicenza is no currently offered for the Type III.

Thanks for posting!

This one is unfinished horse. First time the wife called dibs on a jacket. She's not having it.
Vicenza is nice I like it a lot.

Thanks for your reply and info about your Aero Type III. I checked Aero and I did see the unfinished HH which is very distinctive but I don't have the onions to wear it w/o worrying about getting it dirty. I guess once you get that first mark/stain then you wear the jacket and let it become what it was meant to be.

For reference I'm attaching an image of my Natural Vicenza Type III. It looks far better than when I first received it. The color has gotten darker since new and the character/grain is developing nicely. It's not as spectacular as the Navy one (image attached) but both are special enough as is your Unfinished HH example.

Those look great!
Not going to lie I'm a bit worried to get it dirty.
'Clean' stains though I don't mind and it already caught some light rain.

BOOM!

Just landed: Y2/The Shop Steerhide Trucker.

Love the colour contrast between the mismatched panels.
Much thicker than my Indigo Type 1 (attached for comparison) and a very spongy hide.

So far, I love everything about it (so much that I post the pictures, appalling as they are. Zero light outside today).

What a spectacular Type III! The color is Fab - sort of a amber/caramel - I'm jealous and want one even though I have a good assortment of Type III's already. The Indigo is nice too but the other one is a standout. Thanks for posting!
