I just had a look at the inside label...says lining is 100% wool. Tried taking a snapshot of the tag but my phone wouldnt focus good enough.
I double checked, and the tag in my P613S says "100% Woll"
Forgive my mistake. So it's wool but on the thin side. IMG_5462.JPG

Waxy cowhide today, Schott 568 Vandals
Unlike the steer hide, naked cowhide, and my soon-to-be confirmed presumption horse hide....
The waxy cowhide just kind of grips the body like a top quality broken-in baseball glove from the 70s and '80s and the same intoxicating leather smell

Awesome jacket — would you say that the Vandals fits differently than the 618/613? Is the collar design the same?

Thank you, one of the biggest things is it is alphanumeric sizing rather than straight up numerical sizing
So for example lately I have been a size 42 in the 613
This vandals is a medium and fits very similarly except no underarm footballs
However the leather is more pliable, stretches more easily so I was able to get the medium instead of the large.
Also it does not come with a belt but you will need one if you want to cinch it up more tightly for riding or cold weather wear.
As for the collar it has the four snapdowns like the 618 but again being waxy cowhide it does not stand up as firmly as the 613/618.
Overall if I had to compare I would say the 613/618 is more straight up timeless riding equipment that also looks badass whereas the 568 is a statement piece back to the 1950s and more of that vibe from the bikeriders movie.

Good afternoon! Started the day running errands in town with my Vanson Highwayman (model E). Now wearing my 25-yr old Vanson Hard-core. Pants are vintage Route 66 side lace jeans I found on the bay. Finished off with Harley Davidson harness boots.

Sneak preview 613SH:

This thing hit the ground running.....
Package received while making work calls from home,
next go out into the freezing rain and snow fall with son with the new jacket to pick up my car from the mechanic, then to dinner with son wearing the new jacket

So far I love it and it's way more grainy (scrotal? Lol) than I would have imagined which I really love including equally on both epaulettes and the back panel and a little along the front zipper and right shoulder seam which I ABSOLUTELY love
I think the snug fit is already making creases in the arms....

Definitely more stiff and so to speak boxy around the torso,...... But so far to horsehide I say: Why did I wait so long?

(PS it's even got that same "happy accident" belt buckle that Tom's had!)

..... more pics to come

Update: car picked up, snow negotiated, at the Mexican restaurant with son

Nice jacket. It appears from the close ups that your oral hygiene routine is extremely effective.
