John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I see. Any actual picture of you actually wearing this?I've been lurking for a while admiring the Aero and Schott leathers you guys share.
It's a bit too mild here today for my heavy jackets, so I'm just lounging around in this classic lace-up Blackhawks sweater. ( View attachment 799133 )
I've always appreciated the heavier, substantial feel of these vintage-style replicas compared to the modern thin synthetic stuff. The string collar just adds that old-school heritage vibe. Glad to finally join the community and looking forward to learning more about proper outerwear from you all!
Great jacket! A bit on the loose side and with longish sleeves. Definitely great though.Arrived today. Vanson Ike. Leather is thinner and jacket lighter than anticipated, maybe my lightest Vanson yet, but it is a very comfortable pattern. Like it much better than the praised Vanson Enfield which I also own. This jacket makes me think if it had been my first, it may have been my only one. Ticks all my boxes. Good range of motion, relatively very thick leather, many pockets to do away things… and dont be misslead by numbers on the website, this fits true to size, definitely not a 25“ ptp.

Looks great, what kind of dye did you use and how long did you let the jacket sit in it?I did a dye-job on this beauty, very happy with the result(a bit shiny maybe, but that will fade)
Cheers!
The dye I used is called "Pebeo Cuir Leather" it was the only one I could find here local haha. I do prefer Sapphire or Fiebings ower the one I got, but it worked and I love how the jacket came out. I used pencils to get a base layer, waited about 2-3h and went again where it was needed, then I let it hang to dry about 24h just to be sureLooks great, what kind of dye did you use and how long did you let the jacket sit in it?
I see that you even got the zipper puller dyed black.
Those orange/yellow leather tones are harder to wear with light colored skin, I never felt mine looked good on me.
I was gonna dye it too, but decided to keep messing with it and thankfully I was finally able to get the cinnamon/caramel tones I was hoping for.
