Minty fresh is how ESPN describes this look.

I have another phrase in mind.

    Have fun with your thoughts!

To paraphrase Chandler Bing from Friends:

"Could those trousers BE any tighter???"

I didn't know pistachio green was coming back. Yay! The downstairs bathroom I've been thinking of modernizing will fashionable again!

    I certainly hope not!

    Not without turning into jeggings!

I rather like the colour. A nice 1930s-cut resort wear suit in this hue would be lovely. I'd also wear pegs in that colour with a bottle-green, box-cut blazer. This looks like it was a nice suit he swam in the sea in, then put through a hot wash in the machine....

    Too funny!

I get that styles change, and to each their own, but some things just do not need to be worn.

And what is this thing now with either no socks and plimsoles, or those Tinkerbell, Peter Pan getaway ankle- less socks worn with what purport to be suits?

    Ick...

Yeah... the ankle-less socks seem to me to be a solution in search of a problem: supposedly they give the look of not wearing socks without the sweating into the shoe...

Loafers as far back as the 30s were envisioned to be worn without socks, but I also hate the sockless look. Just looks lazy and sloppy to me... With a suit, let's not even get into the horror of eighties flashbacks...

I had a suit much the same color back in the 80’s, but it had DOUBLE pleated pants and oversized padded shoulders.

I was going for the Miami Vice look but truthfully I was never really comfortable with it

I go sockless only wearing shorts and deck shoes, super casual in really hot weather.

It would NEVER enter my mind to wear a suit in that silly look.

I should have mentioned … no socks and slip on’s was also part of the Miami Vice look.

I remember it well, though never adopted it. I had some pastels in the shirt department. A friend at one point adopted the whole Sonny Crocket look, complete with linen jacket and sleeves pushed up.

That is it 100%, only in the exact same color as the original post here.

I cannot say the Crockett look was bad. Very of its time, he did wear a jacket, linen is awesome, but I am generally put off by fads, even if I like the fad on some level. My friend stood out with that look, because it was obviously and meticulously copied from the show's character.

Those trousers look like tights from ol' Henry the Eighth's time. Talk about uber-retro! What's next, a codpiece?

My like is in no way to second your consideration of a cod piece! Do not give this guy any ideas!

Let me start out by stating that I consider myself to be a geezer and what I am about to write about the pestilential eyesore at the top of this thread should be understood in that context. When I was working (Yes I am now retired) I wore a suit or at least a sports coat and tie every day. I favored Italian designers such as Brioni or Kiton and I could afford the garments and the services of a good tailor. The defacement of the human form is an insult to the sensibilities and should be surpressed. The coat does not even fit properly and the shoes are a blight. I do not know what is on the left front of the coat but perhaps he spilled some food on it. The wearer of this costume looks as though he came from the musical stage and forgot to change.

Pestilential eyesore is still far more polite than what I have in mind!

I had not noticed the thing on his left side. Frankly, it is something inserted through a loop. It could be a bouquet of herbs, or asparagus.

    Any other theories?
