Even a cursory search indicates Carhartt was founded in 1889 to supply workwear to railroaders, so why do I keep seeing a video ad boasting that Carhartt was "born in the trenches" in 1918?
Is there something in particular they're referencing here? Or is just a crass attempt to capitalize on the ongoing Great War centennial?
I figure if anyone will know, it's the workwear aficionados here.
