My dad introduced me to the films of these three when I was a child....their shrill brand of silly humour still makes me laugh to this day....
They're largely forgotten...but the films they made together stand as some of the best British comedies ever made...
The films give a lovely glimpse into the long lost 1930's...and are dripping with period atmosphere...
Hay usually plays a self important idiot....Marriott a silly old fool...and Moffatt a smart arse kid....they made a great trio
If you get the chance DO see... Oh Mr. Porter, Ask a Policeman, and Where's that fire.....
