I'm looking for an authentic or at least close copy of a 1920s or 1930s fedora in 7 3/8 in good condition. So taller crown, and made of felt. Lighter colors (tans, creams, greys, even light browns) are preferred as I've already got 3 dark brown hats.

More narrow? I've always heard and read 2 3/4 to 3". What is the proper size?
My experience has been 2“ to 2 3/8”. They started getting wider in the 40s. Then started getting narrow again in the 60s. But of course there are always exceptions.

I do have a mid 50 s Knox 40 with a 2 3/8 brim with the high 5 1/2 inch crown that replicates the 20 s and 30 s look .
I've got a 50s Knox that I wear often. Definitely seems to be a higher quality hat than a late 50s or early 60s (I believe) Stetson I also have
