For sale is this heavy duty authentic WWII Navy issue Peacoat.
10 buttons - Corduroy inside pocket
like new except for a musky odor that should go away once dry cleaned- (the last time this thing was cleaned was probably 70 years ago)

no moth damage

tag is gone but it's probably a size 40 or 42

measurements:
21" pit-pit,
20" shoulders
26" sleeve (about 2' of extra fabric in the seam)
34" long

This really is killer jacket for the price. Someone slightly taller and slimmer than me should grab this if they want to be warm and get an original of the best design of peacoat there was!

This looks interesting to me. But the measurements are odd. The chest is wider than the shoulders, for instance. The sleeves and total length seem long.

Could you please check the measurements again? Best to use a tailor's measuring tape (rather than a metal carpenter's tape), if you didn't already use one.

I checked yesterday and here they are. not much changes as you'll see.
And yes the chest is wider than the shoulders.

FYI, measurements taken on the back side of the buttoned coat

21" pit-pit,
19.5" shoulders
25.5" sleeve (about 2' of extra fabric in the seam)
34" long
