Is it possible to find 28oz wool?

I've been able to find some 32oz wool, some sources of 30 oz wool (unfortunately containing nylon), and some 26 oz (also containing nylon). I'm trying to get a vintage coat reproduced. Will I have to go with the extra-heavy 32oz, or will the 30oz with nylon hold up, and is there, out there somewhere, 28oz 100% wool? Thanks!

Maybe check Hainsworth or Abraham Moon for that?

The 32 oz wool is the same weight as used in the vintage US Navy peacoats. I would think that is heavier than you would like, as is probably the 30 oz wool.

The vintage Mackinaws were 28 oz shells, as you have probably determined. If you find a source, please let us know as I have seen this question before.
