SCORE, JonnyO! Nice hat; great shape, (apparently) classic style... and you like it! Unless the cost will break you, you did much better than if you had gone to MAcy's, etc. Good find.

House renovating is better. And I found a better lid on which to bid!

By the way, I was all set to bid on the above hat and had one of the worst ebay disasters possible.

So, I was in the car as a passenger coming home from Tennessee and had my mobile hotspot on and my laptop out as I prepared to bid. For the last 5 minutes of the auction I kept telling my buddy who was driving to pull over so I could be sure everything was good, but he was too damn hesitant on what the crap he was going to do.

Anyway, as the timer ticked at 50 seconds to go he suddenly jerks the wheel that sent my hotspot hardware smashing across the dashboard into the driver's side window. But the ebay timer still was counting down so I thought it was still logged in. So, when I got to ten seconds and tried to bid... you guessed it. The shock of the hotspot slamming across the dashboard had broken the Internet connection.

I missed the bid. I lost the auction.

It was posted above and on the Open Road thread. If you research the trademark for The Open Road, you will narrow down the date estimates. Sorry your bid was lost. A mobile phone and the eBay app is the most dependable method.
