Johnny, please tell me the "Thomas phase" ends at some point. I like trains and all, but I'm knee deep in Thomas paraphernalia, and they all talk. Loudly. We're having a Thomas-themed third birthday Saturday, and I'm going to be surrounded by that damned happy little steam engine, even the cake! Your kid looks good in that hat, by the way. Mine likes them too, when we can get that dorky Thomas engineer cap off him. Frank.

Thomas obsession started about the time he could walk. Still going and he is over four year old now. Two Thomas birthdays and one James (another tank engine). His interest has expanded to all trains now. Not just Thomas so I may take him trainspotting this summer. Dinosaurs are creeping in there as well. That started with a trip to the Drumheller royal tyrrell museum two summers ago. In fact he is wearing that shirt in the picture. Cars and truck, lego now as well. I don’t think the train thing will end but it will expand to different interests. Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear.
Johnny

Not much time to hang out here lately, but when I drop by, I am impressed, fellas!

Just a quick look at the Lee Trinity I'm wearing today. This is the olive-gray Trinity I've had for a few years rather than the brown one I found a couple of weeks ago.

So many great hats today. I hope I have time later to pay some compliments as there is so much to comment on.

Nice prediction Alan :)

Joao, I see the point of the 4x Buffalo as a travel hat - lower crown?
Not a hat I care much. It could fly and hit/land on something, crushed, take a lot of rain or even get lost. And it is black :)
Also plains do not have a lot of space.

Today, my Moonstone Fed IV:

I love wearing it, even though it's a little tight and needs to be re-stretched or upsized. Not Akubra's fault; they sent the right size, 57. But one day I was in Meyer the Hatter downtown and was chatting with Mr. Sam, the family patriarch, and mentioned that the hat was a little loose. I took the Akubra off for a few minutes to try something else on . . . and when I turned around Sam had put a foam strip in under the sweatband. Fastened it, I mean, with the tape!

If re-stretching it and leaving it on the hat jack doesn't work in the long run, perhaps this one needs a trip off to Art for a resizing. (It's already had quite a few adventures, coming to me from Australia, then having its brim trimmed and a smaller ribbon added at Henry the Hatter in Detroit.)

Frank, rest assured it ends. Our boy lost interest just after his 3rd birthday, so you are fast approaching the light at the end of the tunnel.

Of the hats that I can see on my computer here, all great today.
I like what you did with that Akubra Benz.
That Stetsonian looks nice on ya Tommy.
Sweet No. 1's Alan.
GD, your pic didn't come out, but I know you have some real beauties.
Gorgeous Huckel Steve.
Hoping to get mine posted later tonight.

Thanks for the kind words hatophile and Bushman. The coat is a Woolrich of late 50's to somewhere in the 60's vintage if I understand Dinerman's guide correctly. It's a 44 regular, more "fitted" than my modern "large" one in green. They are the only thing that keeps me warm when it gets in the 20's or colder.

I've been admiring Erik's Pendleton coats for some time and have been bidding on the Bay to get one. They always seemed to be the upscale version of the "Pennsylvania Tuxedo".
