That really is a lovely cap. I've been dithering on whether or not to treat myself to a baker boy cap. Just can't make my mind up:

Have to agree with you about the weather, on our side of the pond we have had a cold snap but now the balmy days of autumn have reappeared. My poor Biltmore, in and out of it's box like the hokey cokey.

Yeah... It is that Knox that I remember. Just extraordinary. I love those tall crowns from 100 or so years back.

And the vents... such a cool idea. If I had been a consumer back in the day, that innovation would have sucked me right in (great marketing gimmick regardless of the real cooling effect, which I suspect was minimal. I mean, how much circulation could really be created by those little vents?). Steve has some great European vented examples I think.

Probably going to have to give up on my dream of the vintage brown derby at some point. If you have a chance, it'd be great if you would private message me the names of some of the custom folks out there now with whom you have been the most pleased.

Last evening, we returned to VB and I am now off to rescue our dogs after their two days of compulsory meditation at the kennel. Hopefully, their period of reflection has brought each of them closer to puppy nirvana.
