Classy and sporty all at the same time!! This hat is really interesting, do you feel the quality is better than a domestic version Stetson?

Churchill Lord's Hat, inky black and classy feeling. Not sure of the vintage, there are no mfg tags under the sweat. Seems to be unworn NOS condition. Stoked, been wanting a Lord's Hat for a while.

I think for the time period Mayser Ulm made a higher quality hat. You can see how well the ribbon work is executed. I can't detect any production faults.

The liner is black satin, with a nice supple black sweat, basically a whole lot of Black going on with this hat.

Steve, The Mayser Stetson reminds my of this Barbisio - has a 1955 date mark behind the sweatband:

Alan, Yes very similar. Mayser acquired the Stetson license in 1954 so the same time frame as your Barbisio. Thanks!

I just noticed that's a different stretcher Alan . Looks like the Bulgarian Wooden Type . The one I'm used to seeing is the Medal one . Always Fine Hats !

Good eyes... it's an older picture. I have a couple of stretchers. I don't believe the wooden one is brand marked. The metal one is a Garvé. I use the latter more for working on hats - the wooden one for display, mostly.
