Definitely something layered and durable, like double denim and flannel, which would serve me over winters, as well as serve my need for durability. Same with my boots. I'd go for my Carolina loggers. They're heavy and would slow me down, but they're very durable. Although my bush jacket carries a lot of pockets, it would reduce my movement and wouldn't provide a lot of protection. So, I'd probably go with this:

No, they probably don't, but everything around you would be falling apartment, so it's conceivable you'd be exposed to fire or flammable substances at some point. Although if all humans were to blink out of existence most of our civilization would slowly start to crumble and be re-claimed by nature (see the cities in the no man's zone on Cyprus), some things require regular human management or they'd go badly wrong. These would be only a relatively small number of points, which could be avoided, but would still ruin small geographic areas utterly. If you needed supplies or equipment which were in those areas you'd have to brave them.
