A modern premier Stratoliner for me today:

Very sharp all around today

Giving the newly rebuilt Berger of Hollywood (AKA The Frunoberger - thanks, moe) it's maiden voyage on a sloppy, wet Monday morning. The good thing is, it's above freezing for the first time in two weeks!

And brim up for Bob, in case he's checking in.

I look...confused.

Frunoburger looks good, excellent resurrection

Trotting out the 1942 Rose Bowl NW Hats custom. This was my first bespoke hat from Mike Miller. Got me hooked. This hat is a work horse, works in all situations.

Mike, that is a beautiful hat. The colors, shape and proportions are all fantastic.

Great pattern on that Monsvias cap Harv. Good to see on the news that you guys are on the upswing temp wise.

Very nice, is that one Sage green? I sure like my Strat in this color.

The Frunoberger really turned out nice Jim. Its Monday, you are allowed to look confused.

Nice brim on that Borsalino Richard. Is it a 1950s example?
This one is recent Mike, I think 90s but still a very nice hat.

After two days of annoying infection I decided to move for a walk in full feint spring

No shaving and an appearance with some shiny eyes

The hat is a Carlton made in Germany, or so it seems. I have others with the same brand made in France

Antelope finish and very low ribbon
Qualitat Wildleder. Trier is another indication in the paper label

It is a hat that has some difficulty in staying fit and the wind of today has not helped it

Here in the east Italy temperatures rose above average suddenly. We hope everything will come back to normal.
Have a good monday
Daniele, the felt on that Carlton looks luscious

Used a lot of distilled water and a rope. Saw the rope idea from another lounger and thought it was a great idea. Worked pretty well, so far I'm pleased with how these turned out. Maybe a little fine tuning sometime in the future. I tried doing a video of the process but having a hard time uploading. Would like to have gotten some feed back from you guys, things I did right, things I should do differently. That kind of thing. Can't really see by the picture but in the BGG there is still a noticeable sharp crease in the front. That's for another day.
I think they're looking pretty good

Borsalino in navy this morning.
Nothing like a wide brim Borso Bob, especially in navy

I'm almost walking again! Only for very short distances though. I still feel some pain, but I'm definitely getting better. Herniated discs are no joke.

Thought I'd break out my Stetson 4X Conversion and step out onto the front porch for a few. Haven't been outside in a while. I look a little washed out and I lost some weight,...

I like the shape on both of these. The extra height on the Resistol is a little more 30s-40s looking but both are great. Glad you are moving around. Back pain is miserable.

Early morning errands in a vtg. Stetson Playboy. Dressed for errands.

This afternoon some ice chopping. A vtg. Stetson Open Road just the ticket for some work.

Best, Eric -
You continue to maintain you high standard in hats Eric.
Did not have time to post yesterday, so two hats today. First the Prima velours.

Today was the Mayser Wildleder.

Both nice Steur, If I had to choose it would be the Wildleder

Today and the weekend saw my beaver brand 5X in sand, as well as a similarly toned Stetson royal deluxe open road.

Thanks, Ddog. I sometimes have to remind myself that I too have fedoras I enjoy wearing. Too much love for the westerns and cowboy hats.

Thanks, Terry. Hope you are feeling better, soon.

Thank you, Mike.

Thank you, Richard. This hat must have seen a lot of action over the years because it was obviously worn but not worn out. The back side of the ribbon appears to be a dark gray but sweat and light has faded the outside to an unknown (brown) color. I will try to post a photo showing the color. Lord only knows what color the binding started out as.

Thanks, Harv. Must have been an Esther flashback.
Thinking of you right now

That game was bananas !!!

Completely insane ending

Super hat Daniele. That thin ribbon suits you well.

That's a beauty.You wear it well.Like the pin.
Thanks, it has a special spot in my heart. You always remember your first...

First, I'm sorry for not responding to the nice comments for the last couple of days, and of not commenting on the fine headwear on display by all. I've been bedeviled by a persistent headache that has come on about mid morning. So thanks all, and great hats all around.

A nice enough winter day today. If the headache doesn't reappear I may do a little bus/walk to the library and around downtown today for a fresh dvd supply and some exercise. Will be wearing this deerstalker while I'm out.

And going all in the the British theme with a cape, Norfolk jacket and fair isle sweater vest to go along with it.

That cape just work so well with the deerstalker. Hope your head survives.

Hey all!
The Jazz Man Cavanagh snorts derisively at this winter storm (unlike many other Jazz Men, who snorted other things). And with it's signature edge at just over 2" from the ribbon, it fits nicely under the umbrella.

It also likes to go brim up on me. Must have been thinking about Bob and his love of microclimate weather reports.
Have a great day!
