Okay, so I didn't actually wear this today, but this is from earlier this week. I took a chance on a hat from eBay seller sewmaster53. The box was for a Premiere Whippet that had been marked out and "Stetsonian" written over it. As best I can tell someone trimmed out a Stetsonian body with Whippet ribbon because the specs match the Stetsonian. I think this seller must pick up stuff cheap at the outlet and turn around and sell it on eBay because I've seen several unusual ribbon combos show up in his offerings . Anyway, I really like my Whiptonian.

May have to switch to a cap to finish up as it's a fair bit of nippy out there.

Have a great Sunday,

I like the color on that Champ Michael. But maybe you are right, something to keep the ears warm may be in order.

Nice looking Stetson. Just a tease though, would love to see some detail shots of this one, liner, sweat and bow!

The De Luca is a fine looking hat, you have it creased nicely.

Now my eyes are happy. Great Stetson to gaze upon!
Thanks Red. It kept me happy all afternoon.

That would make any head happy. Gorgeous looking hat, Michael. Love that colour combination and form.
Thanks steur.

It's actually not too bad for warmth on the ears with my collar up, but then my collar wants to bump the hat off. Ha ha. A cap will finish the shoveling and then the Champ will come back for the rest of the day in the house.

Thanks all,
Michael

From the Hats Not Worn Much Department, a Royal Stetson from the early 1960s. One of my early gets when I began this "hat thing." I now gravitate to taller, blockier crowns and much wider brims. However, my wife found this one at an estate sale and was proud of her find, so I'll never get rid of it.

dig it Jim

hats from that era don't get enough love in my opinion ... I'm as guilty as anyone in that department

Thanks and yeah, it wears well and looks OK. I just go to the others more often. Gotta drag these things out of their boxes sometime, though. She was needling me last night for not wearing it, so I thought I'd rectify that.
