The voice of the car on "My Mother the Car" was Helen Hayes.

The average lifespan of a carpet is eight years.

An adult male Persian cat can run in front of an F-111 fighter/bomber for 11.5 seconds before it's sucked into the engine.

Plus, I still know Bernoulli's equation.

But don't ask me what I had for breakfast!

Man DD, I'm liking & learning of all these Resistol's you keep coming up with & I know nothing about! The Montana, the Topeka, the County Sheriff & now the Ft. Worth! Not having much luck finding any however. Any others I should be aware of?

I can't find any either. I'd blame DD but I don't wear his size. :) I like the Topeka, and the Montana as well.

Thanks Stefan.

It works great, too. For experimental purposes I just visited the beach up at the Chesapeake Bay. Just a bit ago, the C.B. Bridge-Tunnel that is behind me in the photo measured a gust of 84 mph. While engaged in my shenanigans, I nearly got knocked of of my feet, but the hat didn't budge on my head.

Neato.

There's something about a good fitting bowler that's really attracting for sure. Neato pictures too.

I remember going through many pages of catalog posted here and never being able to find the combination of brim width and ribbon width and brim finish that matched this hat. But I may have just passed it by in a daze or misread. The pin does sort of say Longhorn. When I got it it had a very low crown with a telescope crease in it, but I don't think that was factory. So I gave up and just wear it.

Thanks,
Michael

“Just wearing it” is what they’re for, isn’t it.

Gives you a chance to see how it holds up against the elements. And think of it this way: what would the fun be if everybody had one?
Holds up quite well to some rain. Didn't have to chase it, always a bonus on a foul weather day. And,the rarity is a cool thing but it would be nice to see a few more examples from different decades. Still, not complaining about one of the nicest felts I've been lucky enough to find!

Thank you Jack! I am just a sucker for the red liners, and especially 3"-3 1/4" brims. Add a curled brim and it's all over. I think you have some nice ones in that dimension!
