Sunshine today! I’m wearing a modern Premiere Stratoliner.

Great hat for the yo-yo weather in your photos. Great pinch.

What a way to end the week, Mattster... under the C & K Forty!!
This hat is so classic. When you need to show people what a "fedora" is, just show them a picture of Matt in this hat.
That hat will put a smile on any day of the week.
Thank you, gentlemen.

Bullet Cat (he's my Chief of Staff and a trusted spiritual advisor) and I had about an hour-long meeting this morning about the merits of the C&K Forty as they relate to other "forties".

He and I have concluded that it is our favorite "Forty." It narrowly beat out the forty of High Life. Third place went to the number forty, which is the only integer whose English name has its letters in alphabetical order.

Brisk morning. The Mallory XV will ride with me to campus this morning.

Mike...

In my book, that hat is right up there at the top of your collection. And it simply looks great on you.

Speaking of favorites... where is that funky narrow brimmed homburg (if I recall correctly) with the feathered hat band? That's thing's such a groovilicious lid!

I found this Adam in a second hand store with a price tag of $6.99. They stapled the tag through the brim binding but at least is wasn’t through the front of the crown. The sweatband is dry rotted but it has amazing vintage hand and classic lines. It’s very light weight.

I will have Delmonico replace the sweatband

Great ribbon treatment. A new sweat will spiff that right up.

Red's right. Please post pics of the interior, maybe over in the Adam Alley thread.

That's IMPORTANT, Matt, and should be considered for a higher place!
Oh... We struggled about that.

Bullet Cat pushed hard (and quite convincingly) for the number forty being 2nd.

But, the main thing going against it is the lack of alcohol content. Essentially, if the number forty could get us hammered, it would have beat out The Champagne of Beers for 2nd place.

Alcohol content is a factor that carries tremendous persuasive weight.
