You already know I like that Gorusgu and Wormser, so I’m gonna put the light on that nice McAndrew. I’ve had several from the early/mid 60s and still have one and they all have really nice felt.
Proof that some of the later hats still could be had with great quality and nice proportions.

Thanks, Randall. It's definitely growing on me. Had to take some time to get it to behave the way I wanted it to, but this is a shape I can wear it in.

Mayser "Libelle", probably early to mid 1950s based on sold by "(Wilhelm) Zeumer 80 years" of Karlsruhe. Last time I posted photos of this was almost 4 years ago. I found this Soft Felt back in 2015.

I recently acquired a Mallory Dallas, virtually identical to yours, including the crease. Mine too has a very thin, soft, and lightweight felt. I couldn't get mine to hold a crease without using a few spritzes of distilled water. I'm a fan so far!

Thanks, David. Yes, the felt is Winchester’s 100% beaver in the color natural. There are three of us here who have essentially the same hat (one guy got banned). The ribbon color is slate and Gannon has long since used up his small supply of it.

Just picked up this Stetson Stratoliner. Not sure of the year but I'm thinking 1960s. It has a rather tall crown of 4.5". At first I thought it was an Open Road until I found the tag under the sweatband indicating it to be a Stratoliner. Not sure when Stetson started using the little Stratoliner Airplane pin, but this certainly predates that. So, if anyone has any info as to this being an early 1960s or possibly late 1950s. What's odd is that it came with the extra liner. The one in the hat is still glued in place, so I would assume the one in the hat is the original one. I’ve got no cooler weather clothes to match this bright hat, so i went with a clashing wardrobe.

Had a wonderful afternoon at the public library under the brim of the Mallory Ten.

I raided the German interest shelf and came away with a decent selection, including a novel about the German scientists who built Huntsville’s Space and Rocket program as well as this quite robust bilingual edition of Rilke poetry.
