The last 6 or so generations of my family have been born and have lived in Yorkshire. We don't travel far! I love Yorkshire! :)

I get called "Miss" and it doesn't bother me. Ma'am isn't really common over here. At least I don't hear it at all frequently. If you aren't addressed as "Miss" generally you will be addressed as "Love" which I like less. It is easier with men! "Sir" tends to suit most situations.

A very kind man helped me to open a bottle of fizzy pop today - really grateful as it has been a really hot day. Plus he didn't laugh at me for being a wimp! I like the idea of chivalry. It is like politeness plus a little allowance for most men being stronger than most women.

I would love the Westmore book but the copies I have seen are out of my price range. It sounds similar to the John Robert Powers book called Poise, Personality and Model Beauty. Did Dita's beauty book ever get released?

I am currently in love with the Boots No 7 range - I bought quite a few bits in the Christmas offers and when they did a 3 for 2. Love the creams and the foaming cleanser is amazing. I tried OCM and my skin hated it! As I am pale the marks from blemishes took ages to fade.
