I'd keep it simply as a visual point of interest
the only time I'd care about the designation is if I was in a forest and switched to my best behavior :)
Maybe not for every LW piece - I'm usually a 42, but figured from the measurements Stu gave this could work. Either way, the die has been cast :D
And yeah, this is the same one that was on ebay... although just went for a direct transaction instead and save some fees lol
The canvas is...
Got the Heavy Canvas/Denim Lined version of the LW J23 today. This thing is a beast in its own right - weighs just as much as some leather jackets I have.
It sounds like he's asking you to "add" a yoke that you see on the backs of a lot of jackets.
If you go back upto my previous pic, it's that horizontal seam that runs across my upper back which helps add some curvature.
I believe you have the idea.
Honestly I think the best approach is...
Do you have any examples or pictures of the ill-fitting sleeves from LW?
I've seen some cases of jackets which are clearly the wrong size on somebody... but not those crazy oversized sleeves.
I also think the MC patterns are trimmer vs the Work/Civ oriented ones like Ryder, Suburban, etc...
Cut the sleeves off, now you can make some leather pants and a vest... profit :)
Yes, the sleeves can seem billowy from certain angles and poses.
On the ryder I have, they settle very nicely when looking front on. But from the side, I think the forearm tends to be ok, but excess settles around...
Yeah, based on what you showed that looks like a feature meant especially for riding.
Since you mentioned sleeve pitch, is that something straightforward to alter to mitigate it? Or that would impractical/not enough at this point?
