Hi!
Yes, we do have a few up on our etsy shop, and you can even see pictures of the hats that Esther (who gave us so much helpful info above) made out of them!!! and within the listings, I included her thoughts in quotes after having, holding, shaping, etc... Might be helpful info for anyone...
Oh, and we have made a few vintage purchases on our own as well, but very few, and I feel that the prices we sell them for are right there in the fair spot.
Hi Richard,
Nothing we have is polyester for sure. I guess I should revise listings, I thought when I say burns clean...it means to ash (like cotton and rayon) vs. melting or sparking and dripping, etc... and slow vs fast would mean most likely a blend of cotton and rayon rather than straight...
I dont think anyone said "weird"..."different" was the word! eccentric and Different...rich or poor, but hey, I agree and hope for myself to someday be rich, eccentric and different
Thank you. I hope so!!! I think I posted the same question in two places here.. is that wrong? and can you tell me, when I respond, am I supposed to click reply to thread, or just reply?
the thing is, one of our customers wants to buy some, and she wants them now, but I dont feel like Ive done enough homework to even price them out...I dont want to quote a high price, but I dont want to find out later that I sold them for nothing either :-(. I see hoods for 18.00, 25.00, 30.00...
LOL!!!
I just took some pics and of course...for some reason I cant get them to transfer to my laptop. as soon as I figure out why my laptop keeps freezing evertime I try, Ill get the pics up..Thanks!
Hi Richard,
Thanks! As far as being a ribbon professional...ehhh, not exactly, although we (myself and my siblings) are learning everyday, mostly from customers!!! All of our ribbons are vintage from 1930-1970's really being the latest, and most are from France.
Thanks for the link to some...
Hi,
Im trying to understand the difference between fur felt hoods that were made in Europe back int he 1930's-1940's vs today's fur felt hoods. The thing I notice is that the ones we have uncovered in our boxes of stuff, is that they are much lighter in weight than new ones. Can someone...
