Thanks for your input. I think I best leave it be as some of the patches are leather while others are cloth & the A2 is goat. I know the leather patches are not.

The orange blaze color is more for the benefit for you & the other hunters, rather than any animal, so as to keep you from getting mistakingly shot at.
I have recently lost a lot of weight, & I think I should get my A-2 altered for a better fit now.....Is that a lot of trouble or expensive to get it sized down, especially in the waist & sleeve length?
Recently I purchased an A-2....but since then I have lost a lot of weight. My question is.....since I have sewn unit patches all over the jacket, if I give it the hot water shrinking treatment now, will those patches cause me a problem as the leather shrinks?.....Thanks, Paul
USAAF decal on shoulder
My question is....How does one apply the decal to the shoulder of the A-2?... Is it just a matter of soaking the decal in water as one would do with a plastic model decal, or is there more to it than that?...such as using an iron, etc.....FriarTuck
