As a kid back in 1955 I wanted a motorcycle jacket. Since we were very poor I took my yellow rubber rain coat and cut it in half. Then with some black liquid shoe polish I tried to paint the yellow rain coat black. Needless to say it was a disaster. I got a very bad beating once my dad realized what had happened.
