By far the finest historical hats I own are made by Mr. McMicking.

Currently it is 0 F. The big goose egg, but tomorrow night they are calling for -17 w/o windchill, with a windchill of perhaps -40 F. Cold here on my part of lake Superior.

What ever was on PBS or the History Channel perhaps? TV died in 1999, never got cable after that and I receive no channels. If it aint on DVD, it's new to me

I got a good number of books, about a dozen alone on straw hat production. In felt hats, I love Puffpaffs book, where she reprinted 2 old hat making manuals, I think one was from 1819 and the other one the 1840s? Here it is...
